WAITING FOR WHAT?

You have placed your life on hold. Why?

... because it is not the right time, the right climate, the right set of circumstances...

You are missing out now because you are waiting on later.

Some of us are waiting until all things line up, waiting until there is an opening, waiting for that right combination, waiting for that 'click'.

Just as the August 2017 solar eclipse had not been experienced since February 26, 1979 and the next one is not expected until October 14, 2023 and, after that, April 8, 2024 - our right time can sometimes be a long time coming.

In fact, some of us will die in our waiting and never see our promise come to fruition... because we are waiting.

Because we are waiting, we fail to accomplish, fail to achieve, fail to do, fail to have.

We are waiting for a better time, when tomorrow is a gift that is not promised to any of us, but our present is the present we have been gifted.

So, why are we waiting?

One of four Lepers in the Bible (2 Kings 7:3) asked the others who were sitting around with him, "what are we going to do - just sit here and wait on death? "

Ecclesiastes told us, "Those who watch and wait for favorable winds never plant, and those who watch and fret over every cloud never harvest." (VOICE)

Even the late James Brown sang, "Get on up. Get on the scene."

You may be incubating a dream, a business plan, a book, a product or a ministry and you are wondering,

"What should I do? How do I begin?"

The bible gives us some clear instructions for success:

- Pray. "Men ought always to pray, and not to faint." (Lk. 18:1)

- Count the cost. "Who intends to build and do not sit down to count the cost first to see if they can complete what they begin?"

(Lk. 14:28)

- Trust in God. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not to thine own understanding." (Prov. 3:5)

Lean and depend upon a God who does all things well. Allow him to lead you in all your endeavors.

He will swing open doors that have been shut, locked and bolted.

He will give you favor that makes no sense in the natural.

He will guide you through the webs spun to ensnare you.

He will be your answer when the question is - How did you do it?
