CURE FOR A CLOG

Just An Observation...

Whenever I hiked on the weekends, the SIPS seemed to write themselves.

Since I have been away from the trails, it has been noticeably harder to accomplish.

I will get a thought, a word or a picture that triggers the beginning of a SIP. And so I start a draft - but it stalls out with disjointed notes, disconnected points, and a dismal message.

My creativity pipe has become hopelessly clogged!

What to do?

It seems the best "unclogger" for my blogging flow is Appreciation.

To get into the openness of the mountains, witness the awesomeness of God's handiwork and experience the wonders of His creation are awe-inspiring.

When I am in the midst of His majesty, surrounded by what man cannot recreate, SIPS write themselves. However, when I am closed in by the clutter and concerns in my mind and surrounded by life, the pieces struggle to break through.

The SIP becomes a DRIP when somebody may be in need of a GULP to quench their spiritual thirst on that day.

That's why I must continue to press. And I have no doubt that when I resume with the activity I started, the clog will be dissolved and I won't have to press, but I will (once again) flow.

"He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." (John 7:38)
