"But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee." (John 11:22)
As I read this scripture, two things struck me - Even Now, God Will.
No matter what we think - God is never too late when He steps into a situation.
It may look too late to do any good once a deadline has passed, or after a death has occurred, or when a relationship has ended, or after a job has been lost, but that might just be the answer we needed, the blessing we needed or the shifting we needed.
Sometimes, God has to change our directions by cutting off our paths.
Sometimes, God does not change our situations but will change our locations.
We cannot predict how God will answer our prayers, but rest assured, He will answer.
Since He is no respecter of persons, He won't ignore us as those who think they are beyond us.
God won't skimp on one so that He can lavish another, but His grace is sufficient to supply every one of our needs. He is just and kind and merciful and forgiving and faithful and patient and loving.
We have no need to be envious or jealous or resentful of anyone, because what He has for each of us, is earmarked just for us.
God is never late; He is always timely. Though we may think the hour is far spent or that perhaps the hour has even passed us by because things have not happened as we thought they should, we must remember that our thoughts are not His and our ways don't measure up to His.
It is to our charge to just have faith, the blessed assurance that God is always on time and even now - at possibly our darkest hour, our lowest point, our saddest, our maddest, our baddest (yes, I know it's 'worst'), but...
Even now, God will.
God will work it out - He will turn it around. He will fix it. He will restore. He will forgive. He will redeem. He will protect. He will cover us. He will love us. He will save us. He will do it for us.
God will work it all out in our favour, for our good, because we love Him and have put it all in His hands.
Even now, God will.
